– Marvel Comics have announced that Kushala, the Apache Ghost Rider/Sorcerer Supreme of the 19th century, will be getting her first ever solo series in 2021. Kushala first appeared in Robbie Thompson and Javier Rodriguez’s 2016 series “Doctor Strange and the Sorcerers Supreme.” No creative team or specific release date is announced as of yet, but she will be appearing on a variant cover for the upcoming “Marvel’s Voices: Indigenous Voices,” drawn by artist Jeffrey Veregge.

– It has been announced that this year’s Local Comic Shop Day will be running on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, rather than the Saturday, going forward. The occasion celebrates independent retailers and will be run this year in a conjunctive effort between Diamond Distributors, UCS, Lunar Distribution, and Z2 Comics. Marvel will be releasing a variant of “X of Swords: Destruction” #1 by Niko Henrichon; DC have a metallic variant for “Other History of the DC Universe” #1; Dark Horse is putting out “The Witcher: Fading Memories” #1; BOOM! Studios will be offering a series of foil variants; and Z2 Comics will have a limited release of the previously Kickstarter exclusive anthology “True War Stories,” edited and assembled by Alex de Campi.

– Dragon Ball Z:The Board Game Saga will officially be produced by IDW, with a release date of 2021 and retail price of US$49.99 on the horizon. The 1-4 player game will feature 10 playable characters in an ongoing series of battles, and is produced under IDW’s 2017 Toei Animation license.

Stargirl season two seems to have cast its main villains, with Nick Tarabay as Eclipso, and Jonathan Cake as the Shade. Tarabay is known for his role in The Expanse as Cotyar, while Cake has been on The Affair and Legends of Tomorrow. Eclipso is a mystical force that can possess hosts, introduced in the first season finale of Stargirl, while the Shade was the mentor of Starman Jack Knight in the James Robinson and Tony Harris “Starman” series; he previously appeared in The Flash season three, played by Mike McLeod. Deadline also confirmed that Ysa Penarejo will be appearing in season two as an unspecified series regular.

– The final chapter of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina now has an official trailer and release date; all eight episodes of Part 4 will release on Netflix on December 31. “The Eldritch Terrors will descend upon Greendale,” says the part 4 synopsis. “The coven must fight each terrifying threat one by one (The Weird, The Returned, The Darkness, to name a few), all leading up to… The Void, which is the End of All Things. As the witches wage war, with the help of The Fright Club, Nick begins to slowly earn his way back into Sabrina’s heart, but will it be too late?” Check out the trailer here.

– The CW have released a better look at the Javicia Leslie/Ryan Wilder Batwoman suit in the lead-up to her debut in Batwoman season two. The costume is similar to the Ruby Rose/Kate Kane suit, only with spiked arm guards, a new bat-symbol, and a cowl that seems to highlight her natural hair. “I love the fact that Ryan is becoming her own Batwoman — it’s her style, her swag, and her moment,” said Leslie. “I felt it was important that viewers could tell by the silhouette that Batwoman was a Black girl. With the form-fitting suit and beautiful Afro, we definitely nailed it!”

– DC have also released the first look at Curran Walters’s Red Hood costume for Titans season three. The outfit is designed by Laura Jean Shannon and concept artist Greg Hopwood, and looks to be an accurate revision of the character’s debut costume from Judd Winick and Doug Mahnke’s “Batman: Under the Hood.” Titans season three will debut on HBO Max, and feature the return of the main cast alongside the debut of Barbara Gordon and the Scarecrow.

– Finally, Marvel Studios seem to have their Moon Knight with Deadline reporting that Oscar Isaac has been tapped to play the hero in the upcoming Moon Knight Disney+ series. Isaac is no stranger to comic book roles, having previously appeared as Spider-Man 2099 in Into the Spider-Verse‘s post-credits scene, and Apocalypse in X-Men: Apocalypse (he has also been cast as Mitchell Hundred in the upcoming “Ex Machina” adaptation The Great Machine). The vigilante Moon Knight suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder, and fights crime in service of the Egyptian Moon god Khonshu. This news comes after Iman Vellani was cast as Ms Marvel, and Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk in their respective Disney+ series. If Isaac signs on, he will be the first Latino lead in a Marvel Studios project. Moon Knight has no set production or release date as of yet.
