In case you missed it, Richard Moll, the voice of Two-Face on Batman: The Animated Series, died last week, aged 80.

– BOOM! Studios’ middle-grade imprint KaBOOM! have acquired the print rights to Captain Juuter’s Webtoon series “Nomads.” A fantasy adventure, “Nomads” follows Lance, a 19-year old from the Sea Kingdom searching for his brother, even though Nomads are the only ones allowed to travel between the Five Kingdoms. “Soon, Lance is in for far more than he bargained for when wanted posters with his face start popping up and he begins to be chased down by bounty hunters!” The first volume, “Nomads: The Sky Kingdom,” which collects the first 23 chapters, will be released in comic book stores on May 8, and other bookstores May 14, 2024.

– Disney Hyperion and pan-African media company Kugali have teamed up to form a middle-grade graphic novel imprint, Kugali Ink. Its first two releases, Jessica Tagbajumi’s “Akanni,” and Bill Masuku’s “Runeless,” will debut in 2025. The imprint marks the second collaboration between Disney and Kugali, following the animated series Iwájú, which will be released on Disney+ next year.

– Mad Cave Studios announced “Hound,” a historical horror graphic novel by writers Sam Romesburg and Sam Freeman, artist Rodrigo Vázquez, and letterer Justin Birch. Set during World War I, the book follows a young British private named Barrow, who is posted to a part of the western front subject to constant mustard gas attacks. There, he discovers “the greatest threat to his life lies not with the enemy, but with a cult formed by his own men.” The book will be released February 20, 2024.

– Marvel have found a new creative team for Daredevil: Born Again. Netflix Punisher writer and executive producer Dario Scardapane will take over as showrunner, while Moon Knight and Loki‘s Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will direct the rest of the first season. The show’s previous directors were released along with former head writers Chris Ord and Matt Corman after Marvel took time during the SAG-AFTRA strike to review the show, and apparently decided it was unsatisfying. It is unclear if the first season, which will now bow in 2025, will continue to consist of 18 episodes.

– Speaking of Loki, Marvel released a free comic as part of a promotional tie-in with Citizen Watch. The 16-page release, “Avengers: Timeless Light,” sees a 2012 MCU-style Loki manipulate an army of Shadow Monsters into attacking Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. The comic was created by Paul Allor, Carlos Reno, Jonas Trinidade, Larry Molinar, and Joe Sabino, with a cover by Mike McKone, and is available to read on Marvel Unlimited now.

– Netflix released a full trailer for The Killer, the thriller directed by David Fincher, based on the comic by Alexis “Matz” Nolent and by Luc Jacamon, starring Michael Fassbender, Tilda Swinton, Arliss Howard, Charles Parnell, Kerry O’Malley, Sala Baker, and Sophie Charlotte. The film is playing in select theaters now, and will be available on the streamer on November 10.

– NHK revealed the series finale of Attack on Titan will run a whopping 85 mins. The special, whose full title is Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters Part 2, will premiere in Japan on Sunday, November 4 (Monday morning US time), and be added to Funimation and Crunchyroll with English subtitles shortly afterwards. Attack on Titan premiered on April 7, 2013, four years after the manga, which concluded in 2021.

– Finally, Insomniac Games started to discuss Spider-Man 2 spoilers with various outlets on Friday. We’ll leave you to uncover the secrets behind the game’s story at your own pace, except to share that these interviews revealed who voices the bodega cat mascots the Spider-Men can encounter: they are played by none other than Firefly and Resident Alien‘s Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk. Spider-Man 2, also featuring Adrienne Barbeau, Ali Hillis, Emily O’Brien, Gideon Adlon, and Misty Lee as unspecified additional voices, is available now on PlayStation 5.
