– Mark Strong is in talks to play the villainous Doctor Sivana in Shazam! This would be Strong’s second portrayal of a DC Comics supervillain, having played Sinestro in 2011’s failed Green Lantern. Grace Fulton, who was in director David F. Sandberg’s last film, Annabelle: Creation, is also in negotiations to play a friend of Billy Batson. – “Doomsday Clock” artist Gary Frank tweeted Walter Kovacs’s mugshot to celebrate the first issue going to the printers. The comic’s ashcan revealed Rorschach was present in the story, but it did not show who was under the mask. “Doomsday Clock” #1 is out November 22.
– During the weekend at MCM London Comic Con, Titan Comics announced their “Doctor Who” titles will be relaunched with new #1s in May. Renumbering the comics will presumably encourage new readers coming to Titan through Jodie Whittaker’s first series later next year. They also unveiled the first cover for “The Prisoner” comic.

– The US Library of Congress will have an exhibit on female illustrators and cartoonists. Titled “Drawn to Purpose: American Women Illustrators and Cartoonists,” the free exhibit will be held at the Graphic Arts Galleries in the Thomas Jefferson Building from November 18, 2017, up until October 20, 2018.
