In case you missed it, we ran an exclusive preview of next week’s “Sabretooth & the Exiles” #1.

– Stand-up comedian Kevin Farley is teaming up with Z2 Comics to tell the story of his late brother, Saturday Night Live alum and Tommy Boy star Chris Farley, with “Growing Up Farley.” Farley will co-write the graphic novel with “Marvel Zombies” writer Frank Marraffino, while art will be handled by Ryan Dunlavey, who previously worked with Z2 on “The Illustrated Al: The Songs of ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic.” As the title suggests, the book will focus on the Farleys’ youth in 1970s Madison, Wisconsin, and how their father inspired them to go into comedy. It is slated for a Fall 2023 release, in a variety of editions you can check out at Z2Comics.com.
– Issue #9 of Image’s 30th anniversary anthology will feature new “Criminal” and “Dead Eyes” stories. “Image!” #9 (of 12) is due out in shops on December 28, and features “Criminal’s” Teeg Lawless on the cover. “Teeg’s Christmas Carol” will be written and drawn by series creators Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips. Brubaker promises it will be “twelve pages of bad dad Christmases and history lessons.” Gerry Duggan and John McCrea will handle the “Dead Eyes” story, with Duggan predicting that “2023 is going to be Dead Eyes’ year.”
– In more Image news, the publisher has partnered with LibraryPass. LibraryPass’s Comics Plus program will get Image’s digital backlog into K-12 school libraries systems. “The Walking Dead,” “Monster,” “Saga,” and “Kick-Ass” have already been added. – Marvel has outlined its upcoming “Murderworld” event and released covers for each of the five issues. The crossover will consist of five one-shots, beginning with “Murderworld: Avengers” #1 on November 16 and ending with “Murderworld: Game Over” #1 on March 1. The plot follows documentarian Paul Pastor, as he infiltrates the $100 million bloodsport hosted by the villain Arcade. Jim Zub and Ray Fawkes will write each issue, with a rotating pool of artists.
– Raising Dion‘s Ali Ahn and The Staircase‘s Maria Drizzia have joined the cast of Agatha: Coven Of Chaos. They join Kathryn Hahn, who reprises her role as the witch Agatha Harkness from WandaVision for the upcoming Disney+ series, plus the recently reported Aubrey Plaza and Joe Locke. Agatha: Coven Of Chaos is set to premiere on the streamer next year.
– Finally, NBM’s Spring-Summer 2023 catalog includes two books dedicated to musicians and one dark fairy tale. “Queen in Comics” goes on sale in March and follows the titular classic rock band, including lead singer Freddie Mercury. Emmanuel Marie writes and Sophie Blitman (who previously worked with NBM on “Bob Marley in Comics”) draws. Hubert and Vincent Mallie’s “Darkly She Goes” is a dark fantasy about knights and princess that “deals as much with inner monsters as the literal kind.” It’s scheduled for a June release. Then in August, Squaz (Pascale Todisco) and Flavio Massarutto’s “Mingus” will hit shelves, detailing the life of jazz legend Charles Mingus.
