In case you missed it, Marvel announced a new “Ant-Man” series from Zeb Wells and Dylan Burnett. We also sat down with Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV for a preview of the upcoming ‘Justice/Doom War,’ and interviewed Cullen Bunn, Brian Hurtt, and Tyler Crook for a spoilery discussion of the recently wrapped “Manor Black.”

– Via The Beat, Dark Horse has announced the English-language release of Italian cartoonist Enrico Orlandi’s debut graphic novel, “The Flower of the Witch.” Translated by Jamie Richards, the all-ages book tells the story of a young boy named Tami who is forbidden to return home until he comes a man. After he accidentally sparks a conflict between a demon and the villagers who had given him shelter, he must choose between his quest to prove himself and his desire to protect the villagers he’s come to love. “The Flower of the Witch” will come to comic shops on July 17th, 2020.

– As noted by Newsarama, DC’s “Inferior Five” mini has been chopped in half, going from a 12-issue maxi-series to a 6-issue mini. The news comes courtesy of the cover for this week’s “Inferior Five” #3, which labels it as a “6-issue mini-series.” The now-mini comes from writers Keith Giffen and Jeff Lemire, with art from Giffen and Michelle Delecki and an additional backup from Lemire.

– Via Newsarama, BOOM! Studios is pulling together some of the most memorable moments from John Allison and Max Sarin’s recently-wrapped, long-running series “Giant Days” for a new collection titled “The Quotable Giant Days.” The book will feature all-new illustrations from series artist Sarin. “The Quotable Giant Days” is set to be published in July of 2020.

– The upcoming podcast adaptation of Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross’s classic comic “Marvels” now has a premiere date. The 10-episode collaboration between Marvel and Stitcher will air weekly beginning November 20th, 2019 on Stitcher Premium. Following an exclusive run on that platform, Marvels will release wide on additional podcasting services in 2020. The project comes from veteran fictional podcasters Lauren Shippen (The Bright Sessions) and Paul Bae (The Black Tapes), with sound design from their frequent collaborator Mischa Stanton. The show’s cast includes Cliff “Method Man” Smith, AnnaSophia Robb, Ethan Peck, and Seth Barrish.

– The shuttering of DC’s Vertigo imprint is now official, a bit earlier than expected. As observed by Newsarama, ‘The Sandman Universe’ titles, the final remaining titles under the Vertigo label, have been shifted under the DC Black Label banner, beginning with October 30th’s “The Sandman Universe Presents: Hellblazer” #1. The discontinuation of Vertigo, which was founded in 1993 by editor Karen Berger, had previously been announced for January 2020. Upcoming ‘Sandman Universe’ titles “The Dreaming” #15 and “House of Whispers” #15 will carry the DC Black Label branding as well, making October 23rd’s “Books of Magic” #23 the final DC/Vertigo issue.

– Another friendly face is lined up to return for the swan song of the CW’s Arrow. Per TVLine, Paul Blackthorne’s Quentin Lance is set to make multiple appearances in the final episodes of the flagship Arrowverse show’s eighth and final season. Blackthorne was a member of the Arrow‘s main cast from the show’s premiere to his eventual departure in the sixth season finale. He joins a long list of former regular cast members who will return for guest or recurring roles in the final season, including Colin Donnell, Josh Segarra, John Barrowman, Susanna Thompson, Willa Holland, and Emily Bett Rickards.
