– Via The Beat, Dover, New Hampshire is set to honor the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with an historical marker on Union St., which was home to Mirage Studios, where Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created the first adventures of the Turtles. The city is also presenting a decorative manhole cover, with artwork designed by Eastman. The unveiling ceremony for these landmarks will take place Wednesday, November 8, beginning at noon, and marks not only the 40th anniversary of the Turtles, but the 400th anniversary of the town of Dover as well.

– With just days to go before its release on Friday, Marvel Studios released a third and final trailer for The Marvels, emphasizing the film as a continuation of Avengers: Endgame for Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers. It reveals Kree villain Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton)’s plans for the universe, as well as a cameo from another MCU cast member. And in more Marvel news yesterday, Blade director Yann Demange confirmed the film will be rated R. The reboot is currently set for release on February 14, 2025.

Variety reports Apple TV+ have announced a new original Peanuts movie from WildBrain and Peanuts Worldwide. The film will follow Charlie Brown and Snoopy on their biggest adventure yet, “an epic adventure to the Big City.” Along the way, they’re set to meet unexpected new friends, and discover the meaning of friendship. Karey Kirkpatrick co-wrote the screenplay from an original story by The Peanuts Movie writers Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz and Cornelius Uliano. The film will be directed by The Peanuts Movie director, Steve Martino. Production is set to begin in 2024.

Gatwa will debut beforehand in the show’s three 60th anniversary specials, which will start on Saturday, November 25.

– Via IGN, Hellboy will be celebrating the holidays this year with the release of the previously announced “Hellboy Winter Special: The Yule Cat” #1 from Mike Mignola, Matt Smith, Chris O’Halloran, and Clem Robbins. The book will debut on December 13. IGN has a preview here. But that’s not the only holiday treat, as Chocolate FX is releasing a limited edition box of Hellboy chocolates.
