– AMC Networks Publishing will release “Parisian White,” the long awaited series from Kelly Sue DeConnick and Bill Sienkiewicz. The series takes place in an alternate 2023, where (according to the official synopsis) “art is life, and life is expressed in the language of color,” with the title pigment being a particularly deadly and poisonous one. This will be DeConnick’s first new work since 2021’s “Wonder Woman History: The Amazons,” and her first original project since 2014’s “Bitch Planet,” although the project has been in development since at least 2015. Sienkiewicz has periodically teased the project on social media over the last few years. The series is set to debut in late 2023, with a special “promotional edition” available at San Diego Comic-Con.
– Writer Brian Joines and artist Dean Kotz‘s “Krampus: A Yuletide Adventure” will be getting a sequel from Oni Press in time for Christmas 2024. Originally published by Image and described as “Snake Plissken by way of the Grinch,” the first “Krampus” was released in December 2013. Oni Press recently released a new collected edition of the five-issue miniseries, with new cover art and bonus content from the creators.
– Fantagraphics is the latest publisher to sign a digital distribution deal with LibraryPass, Inc. The deal would make titles such as “Hip Hop Family Tree” and “Monsters” available to schools and libraries via the Comics Plus app. Jennifer Chan, Fantagraphics’ executive director of sales and marketing, will reveal more details for the new partnership on November 17 at 3pm PST during LibraryCon Live! 2022.
– Fans excited for Wakada Forever and Disney+’s upcoming Ironheart will want to check the Marvel Unlimited app. The publisher has added several new Infinity Comics featuring stories about Riri Williams, Black Panther, and Namor. “Who is…? Ironheart” #1 retells Riri’s origin story, with a creative team that includes Eve Ewing, David Cutler, Roberto Poggi, and Paris Alleyne, while Ralph Macchio, Matt Horak, and Brian Reber do the same for the Sub-Mariner with “Who is…? Namor” #1.
T’Challa and Namor co-star in “Avengers Unlimited” #19 from Tochi Onyebuchi, Ray-Anthony Height, and Carlos Lopez, which sees the Black Panther and Sub-Mariner battle Tiger Shark: the two-part story will conclude with issue #20 on November 15. Lastly, “Strange Tales: Wakanda” from writer J. (Jason) Holtham, Ramon F. Bachs, and colorist Java (Javier) Tartaglia sees T’Challa make “a daring choice” that “will determine the future of Wakanda.” And in other Infinity Comics news, ”Spider-Verse Unlimited” #23 kicks off the three-part ‘Rabbit Run’ storyline, which sees Spider-Man on the trail of White Rabbit after she sets fire to Central Park. Alexandra Walker, Zé Carlos, and Erick Arciniega handle creative duties.
– Mad Cave Studios has announced a new series described as “Kill Bill meets Clash of the Titans.” Titled “Hunt. Kill. Repeat.,” the series will follow Greek goddess Artemis on a quest for revenge against the Olympians. Mark London writes, with Francesco Archidiacono and Marc Deering providing art. Lee Loughridge and Rus Wooton will handle colors and letters respectively. The series will feature cover art from Ryan Kincaid. Issue #1 is set to hit shelves in March 2023.
– Finally, Leeanne M. Krecic, creator of “Let’s Play,” announced she will not be producing a fourth season of the webcomic, citing conflicts with the publisher Webtoon. In an open letter, Krecic explains she was disappointed with the lack of marketing for the comic, as well as its age gate, and her other issues with the company, “whether it be about the ad campaign that considers our profession a ‘side hustle.’ The pay disparity for LATAM [Latin American] creators. Or the ongoing lack of transparency and errors in accounting that I’ve experienced personally. Webtoon is no longer the right platform for me or ‘Let’s Play.'” She will announce a new home for the series, and when it will arrive, at a later time.
