In case you missed it, Dark Horse launched “Overwatch: New Blood,” and 2000 AD announced a five-issue “Hawk the Slayer” miniseries.

– Z2 and Parisian fashion house Balmain have partnered together for “Balmain Dreams: 10 OR,” a new anthology that, according to Z2 Publisher Joshua Frankel, “lies at the intersection of fashion, music, and sequential art.” Featuring talent such as David Mack, Colleen Doran, and Bengal, each story will be inspired by Balmain’s signature designs. The release of the anthology comes alongside Olivier Rousteing’s tenth anniversary as Creative Director of the fashion house. A percentage of all sales will go to anti-HIV/AIDS charity (RED).
– PlayStation 4 and 5 users got their first look at Spider-Man before he joins the cast of Marvel’s Avengers on November 30. The game’s official Twitter posted an exclusive preview image for their upcoming DLC (or “Hero Event”) Spider-Man: With Great Power. The first trailer is set to debut on IGN today. This DLC is exclusive to the Sony consoles.
– Paramount is pushing back the release dates of the next Transformers and Star Trek films. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts has been bumped from June 24, 2022 to June 9, 2023, while the as-of-yet untitled Star Trek is being moved from June 9, 2023 back to December 22, 2023.
– Netflix will release a Bollywood film version of The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar (Gully Boy). The live-action musical will reimagine Archie Andrews, and the rest of the Riverdale gang, as Indian teenagers during the 1960s. The project, which was first announced in 2018, does not currently have a confirmed release date.
– Meanwhile, Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Haro Aso’s “Alice in Borderland” is getting a second season in December 2022. The series originally debuted on the streamer in December 2020, quickly becoming the most viewed series in Japan of that year, and would rank Netflix’s top 10 in 40 countries and territories worldwide. According to Variety, the series received a boost in viewership after the success of Squid Game.
– Disney+’s upcoming Hawkeye series will feature a musical number written by songwriting duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray, Mary Poppins Returns). The number will be part of the fictional Rogers: The Musical, a Broadway show based on the events of the first Avengers movie. The first two episodes (of six) hit the streamer on November 24.
– Shonen Jump-inspired fighting game Jump Force will be delisted from digital storefronts on February 7, 2022, with the online servers going down the following August. Bandai Namco announced on their website that it would be discontinuing online support the game with the exception of non-ranked online matches. Previously purchased DLC will still be available to players.
– Finally, “Scarlet” and “Torso,” both part of writer Brian Michael Bendis’s Jinxworld line, are getting new collected editions from Dark Horse. “Scarlet,” due out May 4 and featuring art by Alex Maleev, follows a young woman named “Scarlet Rue,” as she battles corrupt cops. “Torso,” which was co-written Marc Andreyko with art from Bendis himself, tells the true story of Elliot Ness’s investigation of Cleveland’s torso killer. “Torso” will be available on June 1. Dark Horse will also publish the newest Jinxworld series “Joy Operations,” from Bendis with artist Stephen Byrne. “Joy Operations” #1 is due out on November 24 of this year.
