In case you missed it, author R.J. Palacio will have her debut graphic novel, “White Bird: A Wonder Story”, released next September. We also have an interview with Joe Casey and Benjamin Marra about their upcoming graphic novel “Jesusfreak.”

– A new graphic novel, “Borges: The Infinite Labyrinth,” tells the story of acclaimed author Jorge Luis Borges’s life and is written by Oscar Pantajo with illustrations by Nicolás Castell. “Borges: The Infinite Labyrinth” chronicles Borges’s life from his relationship with muse Norah Lange, up to the creation of one of his most well known work, The Aleph, across ten chapters. Castell told The Bogotá Post Borges “did not have an epic life like that of other writers like Ernest Hemingway, but within his imagination he did have it and tried to merge the two things,” and he tried to humanise him through the symbolism in his imagination when illustrating the book. “Borges: The Infinite Labyrinth” is available in Spanish now.

– N. K. Jemisin, author of the Hugo Award-winning science fantasy series The Broken Earth, revealed that she is working on a comic project and has finished writing the scripts, promising to detail the project soon.

– American Mythology Comics have announced their next Zorro series, “Zorro: Sacrilege,” which will see the masked hero faced with “something darker and more ancient than Christianity preying upon the people of San Leticia.” The book, which starts in February, is written by American Mythology editor-in-chief Mike Wolfer, with art by Mauricio Melo.

– Jeff Lemire announced that the highly anticipated sequel series to “Descender,” “Ascender” will be launching at Image Comics next April. He also added that Dustin Nyguyen has completed the art for the first issue. “Ascender” was announced in July before the final issue of “Descender,” #32, was released.

– DC have informed retailers that the first issue of “Batman and the Outsiders” has been delayed indefinitely, with all orders for the first three issues canceled. The series, written by Bryan Edward Hill with art by Dexter Soy, was set to begin next month. Hill tweeted, “there’s some in-universe stuff that needs more incorporation into the story. It’s a push on the release, but from what I understand, everything is fine. Just taking more time to make the launch powerful.”

– Renowned Pakistani cartoonist, Feica, real name Rafique Ahmed, has been hospitalised following a stroke. Feica was born in 1957 and studied at the National College of Arts and has worked for a host of different newspapers and magazines including The Muslim and The Frontier Post. Feica currently works for Dawn and has worked for them since 1992. You can view some of his most recent work here.

– Following the release of the trailer for Once Upon A Deadpool, a tweet, from last December, in which MVBramley pitched the plot of the film directly to Ryan Reynolds has resurfaced. MVBramley has reflected on the post and how “eerie” it is that he didn’t get a “single detail wrong.” Currently, there hasn’t been an official response from anyone involved with the production of the film. Once Upon A Deadpool is set for release in select theatres on December 12.
