In case you missed it, Archaia announced “Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: Ghosts.” We also received a first look at Matías Bergara’s variant cover for “Strange Skies Over East Berlin” #4; a preview of tomorrow’s “Deathstroke” #50; and interviewed Bryan Caplan and Zach Weinersmith on their new book “Open Borders: The Science and Ethics of Immigration.”

'Curse of the White Knight' #4

– Writer and artist Sean Murphy has begun work on the third volume in the “Batman White Knight” series. The third volume is titled “Batman: Beyond the White Knight.” The fifth issue of Murphy’s eight-issue “Batman: Curse of the White Knight,” the second series in his universe, releases next week.

– Universal Pictures has released a new Jurassic World motion comic called “Rising Tide.” The first in the series shows the aftermath of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, featuring a news report of the Mosasaurus as it terrorizes surfers and other beach dwellers in Oahu, Hawaii. Three more episodes will soon come, each one to unfold from a new character’s perspective. The third Jurassic World film is set to release June 11, 2021.

– The International Animated Film Society unveiled the nominations for its annual Annie Awards for 2020. Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home got nominated for Best Character Animation — Live Action, along with Alita: Battle Angel. Tuca & Bertie got three nominations among other cartoons based on comics.

– Paramount’s Snake Eyes has brought on actor Steven Allerick to play the father of the famed G.I. Joe ninja commando. Slated to release on October 16, 2020, Snake Eyes follows the ninja as he travels to Japan and trains with the Arashikage ninja clan to hunt for the man who killed his father. Allerick joins a cast which includes Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Ursula Corbero as The Baroness, and Andrew Koji as Snake Eyes’s blood brother-turned-enemy Storm Shadow.

– Writer David Matthew Gallaher (“Hulk: Winter Guard”) has put up a GoFundMe page to help raise money to pay off his medical bills. Gallaher suffers from chronic seizures, which “caused out-of-pocket and out-of-network medical expenses to grow to over $63,000.” At the time of writing, he has raised $6,582 towards paying off his remaining $25,000 debt. – Jessica Chen, an Associate Editor on the Superman comics, has been promoted to Editor and is moving to the Batman editorial group. Chen first started out as a Production Artist at DC in 2010 at the California WildStorm offices. When DC’s Burbank offices opened in 2011, she was relocated and promoted in 2013 to become part of editorial. She was the lead editor on “Supergirl” and “Metal Men,” and assisted on “Superman,” “Action Comics,” “Lois Lane,” and “Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen.”

– Marvel is giving fans another X-Men team and title coming in March. Everyday at noon Marvel will give some kind of hint of the team and likely its lineup.

– Finally, the BBC announced Doctor Who season 12 will start in the UK and on BBC America on January 1, 2020.
