– Last week’s “Spider-Man Unlimited Infinity Comic” #13 saw the return of the “Renew Your Vows” universe, in a new arc penned by previous series writer Jody Houser, and drawn by Nathan Stockman. Picking up with Peter, Mary Jane (Spinneret), and their daughter Annie (Spiderling) during the holidays on Earth-18119, it seems like everything is wonderful – “except Peter can’t stop a crime spree, Annie is the Patternmaker and she doesn’t even have her driver’s license, Wolverine is her mentor, and maybe there’s someone stalking them all?” Part two (#14 of the new volume) will drop today on Marvel Unlimited.

– Dan Slott has renewed his exclusivity deal with Marvel, the writer announced at L.A. Comic Con last weekend. Slott, who currently pens “Superior Spider-Man” and “Spider-Boy” for the company, has been exclusive to Marvel since 2004, meaning he can write for other comic book publishers, except DC (whom he last wrote for in 2003.) It is unknown how long Slott’s latest exclusivity deal will last, although he noted, “I’m very grateful to be part of Team Marvel, and hope to keep earning my keep with them for years to come!”

– Mad Cave have launched Letters to Legion to promote David Pepose and Alex Cormack’s “The Devil That Wears My Face.” Readers will be able to presumably send messages to the titular demon from the comic to legion[at]madcavestudios.com, or to the Mad Cave Twitter account with the hashtags #LetterstoLegion and #OKtoprint. Issues #1-2 (of 6) of “The Devil That Wears My Face,” which follows an exorcist who has his body stolen in 1740s Spain, are available now.

– Warner Bros. announced the animated Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part One will be released digitally on January 9, and on 4K UHD and Blu-ray on January 23. The film, which begins a trilogy based on Marv Wolfman and George Pérez’s iconic maxiseries, also received a second trailer, and the release of the first clip. The movies will bring about the end of the Tomorrowverse begun by 2020’s Superman: Man of Tomorrow, and bring back the cast members of all those films.

Punisher showrunner Steve Lightfoot has joined the Spider-Man Noir series in the works at Amazon, agreeing to serve as co-showrunner with writer and executive producer Oren Uziel. The untitled live-action series, which also has Phil Lord, Chris Miller, and Amy Pascal involved as executive producers, will reportedly follow an older, grizzled hero in 1930s New York, instead of the Earth-90214 version of Peter Parker.

– Capcom revealed a Street Fighter 6 and Spy x Family collaboration, releasing a short film of Yor Forger and Chun-Li duking it out. The partnership was formed to promote the anime’s big screen debut Spy × Family Code: White, arriving in theaters in Japan later this month. The Spy × Family DLC items for Street Fighter 6 will be released on January 9, 2024.

– Finally, Zack Snyder has regained the rights to Blood and Ashes, a project he developed with Kurt Johnstad for Warner Bros. as a 300 sequel. A gay love story centered on Alexander the Great and his second-in-command, Hephaestion, the script was shelved because of its subject matter, and the circumstances surrounding Snyder’s exit from Justice League. It is now possible that he will direct the film at another studio. Snyder’s next film, Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire, which coincidentally began life as a Star Wars pitch, will debut in limited theaters on December 15, and on Netflix the week after.
