– “Generation X” is the next X-book to be announced as part of the fallout from the “ResurrXion” event that Marvel is putting together, and the creative team and membership got released yesterday. Christina Strain and Amilcar Pinna are the creative team on the book, and the team is led by Jubilee, with Quentin Quire, Eye-Boy, Benjamin Deeds, Nature Girl, Bling!, and a new mutant, Nathaniel Carver, rounding out the team. Strain, a colorist turned writer, talked about the book being made up of purposefully low-powered mutants, who aren’t quite ready to be X-Men – yet.

– For the first time in 23 years, a new Power Ranger was created, and he debuted in this week’s “Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers” #9. Kyle Higgins spoke to Comics Alliance about the character’s reveal, and what is in store for the book going forward.

– The Inhumans TV show will debut September 1 in IMAX, and on ABC on Tuesday, September 26, and run for the following eight weeks, uninterrupted.

– Billy Dee Williams will finally get the chance to play the role that he was teased playing in 1989’s Batman, when he voices Two-Face in The Lego Batman Movie, which comes out in Februray.

– Marvel released designs for Kid Kaiju, a new character that has previously appeared as just a normal child in “Totally Awesome Hulk,” but who will play a huge role in the upcoming ‘Monsters Unleashed’ event.

– In “yeah, no duh” news, there will be no Rogue One sequel, as that would just be A New Hope.

– During the ‘Invasion’ crossover on the CW shows, we met Martin Stein’s new, created by Flashpoint daughter, Lily. Well, she’s sticking around Legends of Tomorrow for some time travel hijinks.

– And, finally, in what seems like an Outhousers headline, it appears that Donald Trump might be looking to one of the Suicide Squad producers/financiers to head up the Treasury Department. You can’t make this shit up, folks.
