In case you missed it, Robert Kirkman and Chris Samnee are teaming for “Fire Power” at Skybound Entertainment, AfterShock is launching sci-fi western “Join the Future,” and comiXology announced surprise graphic novel “In the Flood.” We also have an exclusive preview of next week’s “Future Foundation” #5.

– DC Comics announced that Tom King, Mitch Gerads, and Doc Shaner’s “Strange Adventures” maxiseries will launch in March 2020 – and that it will co-star a surprise DC hero. You can see new preview art from the series and learn more over at DC’s website.
– Newsarama shared word that Barry Windsor-Smith’s epic graphic novel, “Monsters,” will finally release in 2020 (Windsor-Smith has been sharing concept art for the story since the ’90s). Clocking in at over 250 pages, “Monsters” will explore “the disastrous effects of a Nazi program of genetic engineering, discovered at the close of World War II, upon two American families.”
– Rob Williams, Trevor Hairsine, and Travel Foreman’s “Cla$$war” will be available in trade paperback for the first time this July. Image Comics announced that they’ll be publishing the collection of “Cla$$war,” which Williams said “feels more pertinent now than it did upon its initial release.”
– Marvel Comics isn’t saying anything about “EMPYRE,” other than that it’s their earth-shattering event of 2020. You can watch a teaser trailer for “EMPYRE” (which is roughly 53 seconds of redacted content) over at Marvel’s YouTube.
– Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are reportedly developing a thriller based on Vertigo’s “Lovecraft” graphic novel. Deadline has more info on the project.
– Netflix unveiled the voice cast for Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, a forthcoming animated series based on the webcomic of the same name. You can see the full cast and learn more at Deadline.
– Meanwhile, IDW announced that Netflix’s adaptation of Steve Niles and Damien Worm’s “October Faction” will hit the streaming platform on January 23.
– Powerbirds, a new children’s television series from Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Stephen P. Breen (Pug & Doug) will premiere on the Universal Kids TV Network on January 19. You can learn more about the series at Animation Magazine‘s website.
– The Wrap says that Shazam! 2 is slated to be released on April 22, 2022, with the stars, screenwriter, and director of Shazam! all slated to return. The first Shazam! grossed $140 million domestically and $364 worldwide.
– Finally, at last night’s Game Awards, it was announced Telltale Games and former employees at the newly formed AdHoc Studio will reunite on The Wolf Among Us 2, the long-awaited continuation of the “Fables” video game.
