– Marvel Comics announced new two new tie-in one-shots, “King in Black: Scream” #1, and “King in Black: Spider-Man” #1. The former, by writer Clay McLeod Chapman and artist Garry Brown, with a cover by InHyuk Lee, will see Andi Benton and her alien symbiote, Scream, joining the fight against Knull. The latter, by writer Jed MacKay and artist Michele Bandini, will see Peter Parker struggling with the responsibility he feels for the entire symbiote saga, having been the first individual to bring a symbiote to Earth back in the first ‘Secret Wars’ event. Both one-shots are scheduled for release in March 2021.

– Marvel also informed retailers that “Black Widow” #5, which had been scheduled for release in January, has been delayed by six weeks. Earlier this month, Thompson described the series as having a “skip month” in February, hence its absence from that month’s solicitations, but January is now expected to be the series’ “skip month.” The second arc of the series is still currently scheduled to start in March, with the series set to run until at least #10. The series by writer Kelly Thompson, artist Elena Casagrande, and colorist Jordie Bellaire launched in September, having been delayed from April due to the pandemic. “Black Widow” #5 will now be released on February 17.

– The Polish Press Agency reports Fantagraphics has acquired the rights to “Pan Żarówka,” or “Mr. Lightbulb,” the graphic novel debut of Polish animator Wojtek Wawszczyk. Due out in English at the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022, “Mr. Lightbulb” tells the story of a six-year-old boy who transforms into a lightbulb after an accident. It will be the first Polish-language comic book published by Fantagraphics.

– WarnerMedia announced that their investigation into the production of Justice League has concluded, with “remedial action” being taken. An investigation into the behavior of director Joss Whedon and producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg was launched in the summer following actor Ray Fisher’s allegations of misconduct. The details of “remedial action” have not been officially disclosed, though Fisher has described it as “some we’ve seen, and some that is still to come.”

– Warner Bros. Pictures announced a DC FanDome Virtual World Premiere for Wonder Woman 1984. The event will by hosted by Tiffany Smith, and feature interviews with the film’s stars, Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal, as well as director Patty Jenkins. There will also be an exclusive performance by the film’s composer, Hans Zimmer, and a sneak peek at the film. Some loyalty program members will be able to watch the virtual event in select theaters, with the feature film following immediately afterwards. The event is scheduled to start on December 15 at 12pm PST, with Wonder Woman 1984 set for release in cinemas and on HBO Max on December 25. Full details about the virtual premiere can be found here.

– Netflix revealed that Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick will be returning as Hilda and Zelda Spellman in the upcoming final season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Their reveal was part of a clip that teases Sabrina being caught up in a strange version of reality where her two ‘aunties’ are part of a TV production. Rhea and Broderick portrayed Hilda and Zelda in the ’90s adaptation, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, which starred Melissa Joan Hart as the titular witch. The final season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on December 31.

Deadline revealed that Jaimie Alexander will be returning for Thor: Love and Thunder as Sif. They also stated that sources believe she could have a guest appearance in the upcoming Loki series on Disney+. Both projects were discussed at the Disney Investor Day 2020, with Alexander going unmentioned. Alexander played the role of Sif in both Thor and Thor: The Dark World, but was absent from the Norse god’s third solo outing. Loki is set to premiere in May 2021, with Thor: Love and Thunder scheduled to enter production in January 2021, and be released on May 6, 2022.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring Ralph Fiennes, Matthew Goode, and Gemma Arterton, the film will follow the formation of the world’s first independent intelligence agency. The Kingsman film franchise is an adaptation of the comic book series of the same name by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.

The Walking Dead announced that its characters, Daryl Dixon and Michonne, will be joining the popular game Fortnite. The reveal trailer for the two characters shows them fighting a horde of zombies, only to be quickly taken through a portal to the game’s island setting. The pair will be added as part of the game’s “hunter” season, which has already seen the likes of the Mandalorian, Halo’s Master Chief, and God of War’s Kratos being made available to players. Daryl and Michonne will be available in the game on December 16.

– Finally, Cambridge Picture Company optioned a collection of supernatural short stories by writer Mike Carey (“Hellblazer”) for adaptation. The company currently plans to develop the collection into an anthology of individual dramas for TV under the working title Genre Neutral. The series will subvert classic film genres, and feature supernatural characters with contemporary social issues. Ivan Mactaggart, the founder of the production company, will executive produce alongside Carey, with Carey set to write the series alongside Niall Johnson. A release date for the series has not been announced.
