Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– CB Cebulski is moving from the publishing side of Marvel to…well, something else at Marvel. While it is not exactly clear what his new role will be, it appears that it will be “working more across all of Marvel’s lines of business from here on out.”
– A lot of people have been wondering why the Warren Ellis/Declan Shalvey “Moon Knight” run is ending. Declan took to his Tumblr to address exactly that subject. Essentially: he didn’t want to continue on past Ellis’s run.
– James Gunn took to his Facebook to talk about the Guardians of the Galaxy IMAX 3-D experience, even describing how the entire film was set up for IMAX, certain aspect ratios were adjusted for the IMAX experience. It seems like a pretty thorough process, and one that will truly reward the IMAX viewer.
– A new poster was released for the CW’s adaptation of iZombie today, as was a low-fi version of the trailer, which has since been pulled down.
– The new Star Wars expanded universe (outside of the movies) has already started, apparently?
– Paul Scheer, along with his “Aliens Vs. Parker” co-writer Nick Giovannetti, have been tapped to write the “Deadpool” Bi-Annual, featuring Brute Force, this September.
– Hugh Jackman’s original screen test for Wolverine has popped up over at i09.
– Bleeding Cool has an exclusive look at Dynamite’s new “Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers” relaunch and, good lord, does this book look nice.
– One of my favorite records is Double Nickels on the Dime by the Minutemen – and there is a really cool project going on right now, where a comics tribute anthology to the album. I am super excited to see this come to fruition.
– And, finally, the heroes over at Foodbeast have gone and made 24 pizzas inspired/mentioned by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
