Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Once upon a time, we had discussed a “Cooking with Multiversity” web series with comic related foods being our specialty. That never came together, but The Outhousers took that mantle up, as they celebrated Deadpool Killustrated’s sell out by crafting Cullen Bunn buns. Properly ridiculous, check this out, and if you fancy yourself a baker look into making this tasty treat yourself.
– Much to the chagrin of some of MC’s writers, DC’s animated series “Young Justice” and “Green Lantern: The Animated Series” joined a slew of other DC properties in the cancelation bin. What could possibly be next? The Riddler’s Revenge in Six Flags going under?
– Barnes & Noble, the bookselling retail giant, has plans to reduce their retail location number by upwards of 200 over the next year it appears. In the article from The Beat, they share that most comic creators shouldn’t fret, if only because the direct market can be leaned on, but as an Alaskan with only really Barnes & Noble as an option to find edgier faire (really, our retailers here hardly go indie), I’m worried about my future of finding quality graphic novels locally if this includes my B&N location.
– Is Paul Giamatti in talks to play The Rhino in the 2014 sequel to “The Amazing Spider-Man?” According to this article from Comics Alliance, it appears to be, although I have to say, as much as I love Giamatti, that is a strange pick. Who expected the guy who played Harvey Pekar to play The Rhino? Not I.
