Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Tom Taylor writes about why he left “Injustice”, and after a two plus year run on a weekly book as the only writer, who the hell can blame him? Brian Buccellato will be taking over, but take a bow, Tom. That was a hell of an achievement.
– “Nonplayer” #2 is finished, Nate Simpson says. Who the hell knows when it will be published though, and at this rate the first trade will be completed some time in 2026. I sass even though I know I will buy that book and likely love it.
– ComiXology is doing its 12 Days of Christmas special again, giving away digital copies of great comics like “The Wake” #1 readers for free. What are you waiting for?!
– While he’s not my favorite Batman, this interview answer from Michael Keaton about Batman is the bat’s pajamas.
– To follow up on a previous story, Graphic Policy talks with artist Pat Broderick about his rather unpopular opinions on cosplayers at cons, and it’s a lot more level headed. Whether that’s spin or his genuine thoughts is uncertain, but it’s things like this that make me wonder why people ever voice controversial opinions. I think there needs to be a behavior flow chart for creators so these things can stop happening.
– “Lumberjanes” #9 has an all-star cast of creators onboard, and Comics Alliance has a pretty damn fantastic preview.
– This makeup job done by makeup effects artist Cris Alex to bring Silver Surfer to life needs to be seen to be believed.
