Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– Over at CBR, there’s the news that the new Power Rangers film has begun production along with a synopsis for the film which could honestly just have been the synopsis for the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. With the franchise still going on television, I still have to wonder the point of this film.
– Has the Gambit film been cancelled after all? Probably not, but over at ComicsAlliance there’s the news that Fox has pulled the film’s October 2016 release date from the schedule and instead added dates in October 2017 and January 2018 for two unnamed Marvel movies. Seems like Fox might be delaying it in response to Deadpool‘s success while January 2018 seems like a shoe-in for Deadpool 2‘s release date.
– Speaking of X-Men movies, Liev Schrieber has apparently talked to Hugh Jackman about reprising his role as Sabretooth in the next Wolverine. I would probably be down for that as he was one of the few genuinely entertaining things about X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
– Please check out this interview for Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss’ “4 Kids Walk Into A Bank”. This comic’s going to change your life.
– Finally, this is the Batman and Superman film we deserved.
