Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– So while DC was busy having the biggest weekend ever, Marvel wasn’t to be outdone. Revealing a new part of the teaser image for “Dead No More”, teasing that Spidey might be taking on a resurrected Doc Ock in the event? Boy, I hope this isn’t garbage, but it probably will be.
– So… have you seen Batman V. Superman yet? I know, right? Just in case you didn’t think the film was obtuse enough, Warner Bros. have released a deleted scene from the film (yes, on the Monday after its release weekend). Obviously, don’t watch it if you haven’t seen the film because spoilers, but it does show how a certain character’s motivation apparently changes off screen.
– Remember that incredibly overrated James Bond parody based on the comic by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons that came out in 2014? Well, it’s getting a sequel and here are all the details you need to know about it. I wonder if there’s gonna be another mass murder scene that everyone plays along with just because it’s making fun of real life people they don’t like?
– Anyway, moving quickly on, let’s take a look at what’s to come in the first season of Legends Of Tomorrow including DC’s gunslinger himself, Jonah Hex.
– Finally, check out this interview with Grant Morrison about the still upcoming “Wonder Woman: Earth One”. You know, he says some really interesting things here, specifically about not wanting to perpetuate the sword-wielding warrior Wonder Woman archetype, but I’m still really worried because his track record writing women isn’t the best. Let’s hope for the best, yeah?
