Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Just as a heads up, yesterday was a pretty slow news day since we’re more or less past the hooplah with DC Rebirth and whatever. I wish I could give you a more positive start to your day but Batman v. Superman is reaching a $700 million worldwide gross. Womp womp.
– Speaking of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Martha, there was some hype for an LexCorp Instagram that was allegedly tied to the film, promising some big news for 2017. Unfortunately, it has no actual affiliation with the Zack Snyder film.
– Is a Luke Cage character going to show up in Civil War? Probably. Press releases for the film’s red carpet premiere listed actress Alfre Woodard as part of Civil War‘s cast. Woodard will also be playing the part of Mariah Dilliard for the upcoming Luke Cage Netflix series so maybe expect the MCU films to start referencing their Netflix counterparts. If anything, I just want a brief scene of Foggy Nelson walking out of his apartment, spotting the heroes’ big fight, and heading right back in to bed. Also, Jim Rash will be in Civil War too, probably replacing Josh Brolin as Thanos or something.
– Kevin Smith confirmed to Hollywood Babble-On that Jason Mewes will appear in the upcoming episode of The Flash he’s directing but not as part of Jay & Silent Bob. What’s the weirdest thing you wrote today?
– Grimm got revived for a sixth season and I wish I saved that “weirdest thing you wrote today” bit for this headline.
