– Well, rejoice Supergirl fans, the show is coming back for a second season, this time over at the CW. What this means is a lessened budget, a rumored production move to Vancouver, and possibly some cast changes. The biggest cast change that people were expecting was a potential departure from Calista Flockheart, but she is supposedly on board. I wouldn’t be surprised if her role was reduced due to the shift to Vancouver, but that’s pure speculation on my part.

– The CW has also picked up Riverdale, the new Archie television series that sounds a lot like the Mark Waid-written “Archie” that is currently in shops. Between this, Supergirl, iZombie, The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, the CW is essentially a prime time comics network.

– While DC will have approximately 59 shows on the air next year, Marvel is losing one, and not gaining a substitute. Agent Carter has been cancelled, and Marvel’s Most Wanted was not picked up. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Peggy Carter have some sort of MCU feature in the future – not a film, but maybe some more shorts or something – but people need to stop making a live action Mockingbird, like fetch, happen.

– Yesterday, we talked about a potential Booster Gold film – well, Greg Berlanti confirmed it is in the works, and also expressed a desire to perhaps direct it. While Berlanti is solidly in the television side of DC’s live action properties, it would be nice for him to bring some of his not-Zack Snyder-ness to the films.

– Wentworth Miller – Captain Cold to you guys – will not be a series regular on Legends of Tomorrow next season, as he will be splitting his time between Legends and The Flash. This is an interesting development, but one I’m excited about. This will give the shows more of a connection, and allow the Flash to have his most nuanced Rogue in Central City a little more.

Rumors are saying that Willem Dafoe is playing an Atlatean in Justice League, and that he’s not playing a villain. Could he be Vulko? The same report claims that Aquaman is being totally rewritten, which sounds about par for the DC Cinematic course right now.

– In what has already been a mess, DC is resoliciting/shifting a bunch of “Justice League” and “Justice League of America” stories around, both in release dates and, in the case of “Justice League,” swapping the stories contained within the final two issues.

– There is a Marvel Tsum Tsum miniseries being produced, because of course there is.

– And, finally, Topps has realized what we’ve all known: everyone loves trading cards, but hates having to physically hold the cards. Woof.
