Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– We live in an odd world, friends. Legends of Tomorrow, a show starring Rip Hunter and Captain Cold, got renewed for a second season, but Supergirl might not. But, at least now we know why: supposedly, production is just too expensive for CBS. While this somewhat makes sense – the show has a ton of special effects – it is also a relatively unknown cast, and the show has consistently done well in the ratings. There are a number of options still on the table, including a potential move to the CW and, according to a new report, moving production from Los Angeles to Vancouver.
– The producers clearly didn’t get my audition tape, but the young Han Solo for the next Star Wars ‘anthology’ films has been cast, and it is Alden Ehrenreich, late of Hail, Ceasar!. The film, due in 2018, is set to be directed by 21 Jump Street helmers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and is from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and his son, Jon.
– Declan Shalvey released an image from his back-up work on “All-Star Batman” from writer Scott Snyder. How long Shalvey and Bellaire are working on the book is unknown for right now, but it is nice to see the creators featured, especially as they appear to be handling a Duke story.
– This sounds eerily like a joke that was floating around the Multiversity email thread, but it appears that, in ‘Rebirth,’ Oliver Queen will be a ‘social justice warrior.’ Personally, I like my Ollie as the left-leaning archer, but this seems like it will make some people very upset.
– And, finally, people sure are happy and/or upset about the new Power Rangers costumes.
