Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– In what can only be described as an obvious question paired with an obvious response, The Walking Dead co-star, motorcycle enthusiast, and walking scowl Norman Reedus would play Ghost Rider if asked. Furthermore, he answered the question “Hell yes,” showing that he already has a mastery of the subtleties typically associated with the property. Personally, I would think that the combination of greasy hair and a flaming head would be dangerous, no?
– Speaking of ‘hypotheticals that will never ever happen,’ Josh Brolin would totally play Jonah Hex again, you guys. This seems in line with ‘Jon Cryer would be willing to play Lex Luthor’s nephew again’ in terms of whether or not we will ever see this happen.
– So, we recently reported that Supergirl was going to be casting someone to play Superman. We also know that the show likes to have winks and nods to prior Super shows/films. We now know that Tom Welling’s pilot was not picked up by CBS, and the rumors are swirling: could the Smallville star play Superman again? This is not the worst idea I’ve heard all day.
– Jon Adams and Horatio Domingues are launching “Disney Kingdoms: Enchanted Tiki Room,” a five issue Marvel miniseries that is described as ‘anthology style.’ Disney Kingdoms are the books that take Disney theme park properties and try to make them into comics; ‘Enchanted Tiki Room’ may be a Disney thing, but it doesn’t have the name recognition of their prior attempts: Figment, Haunted Mansion, etc.
– And, finally, regardless of what you thought of “Wonder Woman: Rebirth” #1, this Liam Sharp process piece is pretty dope, no?
