– Newsarama posted several articles of Marvel ‘Legacy’ news. In an updated list for the first round of titles it revealed “Spirits of Vengeance” from writer Victor Gischler and artist David Baledon will be a five-issue mini-series. In “Uncanny Avengers” #28, Jim Zub and Sean Izaakse will be bringing back the fan favorite team-up of The Beast and Wonderman. On “Cable” #150, new creative team of Ed Brisson and Jon Malin will bringing a fresh grouping of mutants together to work with Cable.
– Young Justice, Justice League and Justice League Unlinited, currently streaming on Netflix will be pulled from the service on August 1st. Anyone wanting to watch them, particularly Young Justice in preparation of the upcoming third season, have less then a month to make use of the opportunity.
– This fall, Neal Adams will be reviving the character Deadman with a new series. The story will focus on Deadman’s former identity, Boston Brand, and the mystery surrounding his death. The series will feature appearances by the Batman, Zatanna, and Doctor Fate. The six issue miniseries will premiere this fall.
– Humble Bundle has created a Centenury Celebration package for the art of Jack Kirby and Will Eisner. It features collections of their work, comics based on their creations, and magazines celebrating their art from over their entire careers. Proceeds from these packages go to support the CBLDF and the Hero Initiative.
– Amazon has released a new trailer for their revival of The Tick. This time around we get scenes of the Tick and his faithful sidekick in action and doing a bit of heroic bonding. The series is scheduled to drop August 25th.
– Warner Bros. and DC have announced Jaume Collet-Serra as a frontrunner to direct the Suicide Squad sequel. His previous credits include 2016 film The Shallows, as well as the movies Orphan, Non-Stop, and Run All Night. Suicide Squad was directed by David Ayer and opened to a less than stellar reception.
