Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the weekend. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– The current “Star Trek” series from IDW will undergo a soft reboot this October when its creative team returns for “Star Trek: Boldly Go”, a new comic series that follows the USS Enterprise after the events of Star Trek Beyond.
– Hey Buffy fans, your favorite vampire hunter is coming back for season 11 in a new comic series from Christos Gage and Rebekah Isaacs. I’d say more, but having only seen a few episodes of Buffy I have no idea what anyone is talking about in that article.
– James Bond is back to the comics page with a new ongoing series, “Hammerhead” from Andy Diggle and Luca Casalanguida. I guess Bond wrestles a shark? I don’t know.
– Stan Lee has a new online cartoon series about him leading a team of alien superheroes. I think it’s supposed to be a documentary.
– Xena and Ash from The Evil Dead are going to meet in an upcoming crossover by Scott Lobdell and Elliot Fernandez in case your fetish for 80’s crossovers wasn’t getting specific enough.
– Speaking of crossovers, Dynamite is publishing a new crossover from Erik Mona and Jonathan Lau between Red Sonja, John Carter of Mars, Tarzan, Tars Tarkas and the world of the tabletop RPG Pathfinder. I think this might be more specific.
– Jeff Lemire announced that his upcoming collaboration with Scott Snyder, “A.D.: After Death” will now be a published in a three-part prestige graphic novel format, the first part of which will drop in November.
