Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– One of the issues that Arrow has faced is the relative lack of notable Green Arrow villains, but that hasn’t stopped the producers from drumming up lots of minor villains along the way. On that note, apparently Baron Blitzkrieg is coming to season 4, being played by Jimmy Akingbola (Rev, Esio Trot). Blitzkrieg is the leader of an organization called Shadowspire and will, supposedly, be the villain of the flashback sequences this year.
– Beau Smith’s “Wynonna Earp,” currently published by IDW, is coming to SyFy. The series, previously published by Image, got an initial order of 13 one-hour episodes. Congrats, Beau and co!
– DC Comics wants dads everywhere to know that we are not Superman, and has sued a company that made shirts linking those two ideas.
– Tony Isabella, creator of Black Lightning and one of the more outspoken critics of DC Comics over the past decade, has begun to soften a little after Geoff Johns personally reached out to talk about Black Lightning’s future with the company. It seems that DC is truly trying to improve its relationship with creators across the board, which is a really great thing.
– Peyton Reed, director of Ant-Man, has talked about how the opening and the ending of the movie were both originally quite different.
– Speaking of Ant-Man, there is a really cool story about why Garrett Morris, an original Saturday Night Live cast-member, had a cameo in the film. My only beef with the cameo was its brevity – there were literally dozens of roles that would have offered more screen time.
– There is a new preview of the upcoming Guardians of the GalaxyTV adaptation of “The Maxx” really hit home.
