– A film version of “Justice League Dark” has been talked about for some time; originally planned as a Guillermo del Toro film, the project was in limbo for a bit after del Toro bailed. Well, speaking of bailing, Doug Liman has bailed from the Gambit film at Fox to take over the JL Dark film for Warner Bros. Known for action/sci-fi fare like Edge of Tomorrow, The Bourne Identity, and Swingers, Liman will certainly bring a different tone to the project than del Toro did.

– The shortlist of directors for Captain Marvel has also been revealed, and the list looks solid.

– Oh, great. Overrated comedy writer Dan Harmon wrote some stuff for Doctor Strange. I can’t wait for the script to stereotype people in lazy ways and/or include Chevy Chase.

– The “Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time” manga is coming back in print. I can hear Zach Wilkerson jumping with joy.

– Spider-Gwen will make her animated debut on Ultimate Spider-Man shortly.

The Flash has cast its Rival. Not as in the enemy of the Flash, but as in the character named ‘The Rival.’

– And, finally, Comics Alliance did a nice job rounding up some of the best DC comics for young readers. I recommend this list for any parent trying to get their kid into comics.
