Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is getting even more Inhumans-centric, and really drawing from the current incarnation, as Lash, a Charles Soule/Joe Maduiera creation, is joining the show, to be played by former NFL star Matthew Wilig. More Inhumans have been announced (to be played by Andrew Howard and Constance Zimmer), but they aren’t comics-first characters, so I don’t have too much to say about them. The show is back on September 29.
– One of the greatest things about the internet is the ability for old, seemingly lost relics to pop up and entertain us anew. This is one of those such things: in 1982, José Luis García-López was tasked with putting together The DC Comics Style Guide, an internally distributed three-ring binder to help folks nail the look of various DC characters. Most of the book has sprung up online via Facebook, and it is all worth a look. Man, do those looks resonate with me.
– Ollie Masters and Tyler Jenkins have a new creator owned miniseries at BOOM! called “Snow Blind,” which launches in December. Check out CBR’s exclusive reveal of the solicit and cover.
– How big of a deal is The Force Awakens going to be? Big of a deal to secure every IMAX screen in the United States for a month. Sheesh.
– Bleeding Cool has been reporting a lot of DC rumors lately, all of which should be taken with dumptrucks full of salt, but the most interesting one has been that DC editorial is pushing back against the ‘Batgirl-ing’ of the DC You campaign, and moving back towards a more standard house style and tighter continuity. This isn’t, at all, what I, or most fans, want to hear, so let’s hope Rich is a little off on this one. The other rumor has John Romita, Jr leaving “Superman” for a new mystery project. When I spoke to Romita earlier this year, he mentioned wanting to tackle Batman at some point – perhaps he’ll be part of the team on a new Bat-title?
– More rumors, this time, involving the new daughter of Blade, set to debut in a new Marvel series sometime soon. Reports are saying that Fallon Grey, the newly created character, is being groomed to star in a Marvel film of her own, perhaps with her dad playing a supporting role. This helps explain the book’s delay, as Marvel has a lot riding on this idea. This is certainly an intriguing idea, and the rare case of Marvel not going with the most identifiable version of a character for an adaptation.
– The Saturday after Thanksgiving has been known as ‘Small Business Saturday’ for a few years now, and this year, it’ll be grabbing another title: Local Comic Shop Day! Details are scarce, but Oni Press is on board, and a day dedicated to your local shop isn’t the worst idea I’ve heard.
– Comics Alliance has a nice write up on the work/life of Otto Binder, one of the Golden Age’s unsung workhorses.
– And, finally, in honor of National Dog Day, CBR talks some of the best dogs in all of comics. Krypto, Lockjaw, and Pizza Dog are all there, so this is a legit list.
