– In what might be the most outside the box title announced by Marvel as part of their ‘All New, All Different’ promotion, “Starbrand & Nightmask” is coming in December, from Gargoyles co-creator Greg Weisman (who also was a writer/editor at DC) and Domo Stanton (an animator for Archer, and a comics veteran). The book sends the pair to college, which is a fun approach, and will set the book apart from both the ‘New Universe’ and Jonathan Hickman versions of the characters. Bleeding Cool took a stab at what books Marvel is still holding back from their line, including “Black Widow,” “Red Wolf,” and more.

– A new partnership has been announced between “Weekly Shonen Jump” and comiXology, to bring the anthology series onto the popular app/service on the same day/date as the stories hit in Japan. The news seems to ignore the fact that Viz Media has an online presence already in existence for some time, but this is still good news.

– Just when you think that The Flash has cast all the insane roles for the season, you find out that the Candyman is doing the voice of Zoom. Booya.

– While The Flash adds every speedster under the sun to their show, could Arrow be adding another emerald hero?

– The cries of dozens have been heard, and DC has officially announced a one-volume “Gotham Central” omnibus for the spring. The series is one of the best that DC ever produced, so run, don’t walk, to preorder this sucker, fools.

– There has been a shakeup at Marvel Studios, in terms of who Kevin Feige reports to; now, instead of being under the Marvel arm and reporting to Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter, he will instead report directly to Disney Studio Chief Alan Horn. This is being praised as a good move, saying that it will give Feige more financial resources and creative freedom. Television, however, still will report at Perlmutter.

– Meanwhile, over at Warner Bros., Diane Nelson, President of DC Entertainment, has been named head of ‘consumer products’ – presumably merchandise – and will eventually name a ‘president’ of that department to work underneath her.

– A lot of news sites are talking about the ‘surprising new romance‘ for Daredevil Season 2 that some set photos are teasing. People really, really need to look ‘surprising’ up in the dictionary.

– Comics Alliance has a really interesting look at R. Crumb, one of the most talented, and polarizing, figures in comics history.

– Season 2 of Agent Carter has started filming – Matt Meylikhov rejoices!

– James Robinson’s “Scarlet Witch” has announced that it will have a different artist for nearly every issue, with #1 being drawn by Vanessa Del Ray.

– This uncle/nephew Bruce Banner/Hulk cosplay is one of the sweetest things I’ve seen in a long time, and I am a jaded, jaded man.

– And, finally, it is with a heavy heart that I announce to you that Zod will not have flipper hands in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
