Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– While already announced that it was in development, Syfy has now ordered a pilot for the adaptation of Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson’s “Happy,” the creator owned Image series from 2012. It is still not a lock to become a series but, much like the Locke and Key and Wonder Woman pilots, it seems that, if nothing else, we my have an opportunity to see the pilot in the future, pick up or not.
– In “Jim Lee really can’t draw 20 pages of anything anymore, can he?” news, Gary Frank has been added as the back-up artist for “Suicide Squad” #4, where he will be telling a Harley Quinn-centric origin story. He joins Jason Fabok and Ivan Reis as superstar artists force to subjugate their egos to do slightly less appalling Suicide Squad stories instead of Lee’s incredibly appalling main-issue stories.
– Rich Johnston is pretty sure Marvel is bringing back Nextwave – here are his reasons.
– Dichen Lachman, who played Jiayong on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be portraying Roulette, a DC villain so forgettable that I’ve already forgotten who she is on Supergirl this season, and I looked it up when this sentence started.
– Over on Legends of Tomorrow, Dan Payne – who had a brief role as Dollar Bill in Zach Synder’s Watchmen – will be playing the younger Obsidian to Lance Henricksen’s older, more seasoned version.
– And, finally, let’s keep sending good vibes over to Bernie Wrightson who is battling a brain tumor. Get well soon, Bernie.
