Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– In the saddest story of the day, giant comic fan and budding comic writer Zachi Telesha passed away at the age of 12. He’s truly a remarkable and inspiring story about maintaining a positive outlook even in the face of true darkness, and his story is remarkable and heart wrenching. I recommend checking out Robot 6’s story, which has more about this young man.
– Could Michael B. Jordan of “Chronicle” fame be playing Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, in the upcoming “Fantastic Four” reboot from Josh Trank? That’s the rumor, and if it is true, hoo boy, I want to stay out of that. Some people will be impressed about them choosing an African American to play Johnny, others will lose their mind (especially when you factor in that means Sue will also be black). One thing can’t be ignored: dude is a good actor, and feels like he has the right flair for the role.
– Lastly, Heidi over at The Beat wrote an interesting article similar to what I’m looking to do, in response to the demise of Comics Alliance and the shuttering of the ComicsBlogger account on Twitter/Tumblr. You’ll probably see more about this in a M101 next week, but I tend to think comics journalism isn’t dead. It’s just becoming less viable as a real cash flow, as AOL likely realized when they shut CA’s doors for good.
