– Is Sony planning a Spider-Man-centric cinematic universe of their own? That certainly appears to be the plan, but I must admit it seems like a flawed one. Outside of Venom, very few members of the Spider cast could sustain their own film. That said, there is a Guardians of the Galaxy movie coming out in less than a year, so what do I know?
– It appears that DC has, again, proved that they are the rightful owners of Superman. Supposedly, this time is the “final” decision.
– Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are set to produce a film version of the Ed Brubaker/Sean Phillips comic “Sleeper.” No actors or directors have been attached, but Shawn Ryan, creator of The Shield is one of the announced writers.
– Gotta Get a Goyer? This theory fills me with equal parts fear and dread – having someone involved in the DC Cinematic Universe who can be the connective tissue between all the films is a huge plus. On the downside, David S. Goyer has written a lot of shit.
– The amazing, inspiring Batkid event cost the city of San Francisco a cool $105,000. Worth every penny.
– Robot 6 is serializing a new “Sixth Gun” story – check it out!
– Remember how we had a bunch of guesses about the new “Batman: Eternal” teaser? DC’s Bat editor, Mike Marts, “answers” 10 questions about it himself.
