Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Mock (yeah) ing (yeah) bird (yeah) yeah (yeah) MOCKINGBIRD YEAH! Everybody have you heard (have you heard), she’s now a series regular, that Mockingbird. James Taylor jokes aside, Adrianne Palicki is now a series regular on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Congrats, Adrianne!
– Ryan Reynolds has tweeted out the first photo of the mask for the upcoming Deadpool film and, I must say, looks pretty great. In less great news, excellent stand up comic/horribly obnoxious Cloverfield co-star TJ Miller is reportedly joining the cast, along with Gina Carasco as Angel Dust. Also reported is that Colossus will have a supporting role, although whether or not Daniel Cudmore is reprising his role or not is not yet known.
– Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has made a claim that, and I quote, “One day you will see Black Adam go at it with Superman or Batman or any of the DC characters.” Well, consider me excited.
– Congratulations to our pals Tim Daniel and Mehdi Cheggour for “Enormous” being optioned, with eyes towards a miniseries. If you recall, we serialized the first issue of the book right here on Multiversity. If you have need for any extras, I am pretty sure any Multiversity staffer would be happy to be monster fodder.
– In news that would’ve made 11 year old Brian squee with the energy of a nuclear bomb, “Weird Al” Yankovic will be guest editing an issue of Mad Magazine.
– According to Comic Book Roundup, via Bleeding Cool, Valiant is the best reviewed publisher, overall, in all of comics.
– In what surely will be rectified very, very soon, the spin-off to The Walking Dead has not yet been picked up/ordered to series. This seems absurd, unless execs have been so bored by the first two episodes of this half season that they fell asleep at the negotiating table. That seems highly probable.
– Flying off to that space station in the sky is Gary Owens, voice of Space Ghost. R.I.P. Gary.
– And, finally, want to haunt your child’s dreams? Pick up this new Batman Returns Penguin figure! Enjoy never sleeping again!
