Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Dan Didio has been trying to ghost Nightwing for some time now – everyone thought it was coming in “Infinite Crisis” – but now, it looks like he might finally get his way. Allegedly, bad news is heading his way in Villains Month if Rich at Bleeding Cool is to believed. Or rather his source from the DC Retailers Summit is to be believed. Either way, big time crazy coming in Villains Month. Get your 3D covers and overpriced comics on!
– Over at The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog, screenwriter Zack Stentz talks about how the more destruction comes in comic book movies, the less value there is. I tend to agree with his point, as the stakes aren’t high just because generic buildings are crashing and exploding. You need to add real stakes, which is part of the reason why the mindless violence of “Man of Steel” and its final third didn’t really do much for me.
Interestingly enough, I’m watching “The Avengers” right now, and Whedon’s decision to mix in so many character moments made that section stand out far more. Might be a personal preference thing though.
– Frank Cho likes his foxy ladies. You know who doesn’t like partially nude foxy ladies? Facebook, who banned Cho from Facebook AGAIN for repeated foxy lady drawing posts. Cho isn’t happy, but as someone who works in social media, I’d wager they don’t particularly care. Sorry Frank.
– Hey look! Our friends at Comics Alliance have a snazzy new redesign. Check it out!
