Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– Who is Star Lord’s dad in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie universe? Well, we know who it isn’t, as James Gunn confirms that it isn’t J’son of Spartax like it is in the comics. Adam Warlock? Yondu? We’ll know in a few years!
– In case you were wondering, Ben Affleck’s Batman is going to be old, but he won’t be that old, as this article at app.com that finds 1989’s “Batman” executive producer Michael Uslan discussing Batman reveals that Affleck’s Batman will be in his mid 40’s, not 50’s, as many had suggested.
– This “Barbarella” adaptation by Kelly Sue DeConnick at Humanoids continues to look pretty, pretty good.
– This is SUUUUUPER thin, but Collider is reporting that an “Inhumans” movie IS happening with a script from Joe Robert Cole (??) coming. Meanwhile, Agent M ain’t havin’ none of dat.
– This “Stuff We Drew” Tumblr that features artists sharing work from their childhood is genius and one to watch as artists hopefully start contributing more pieces.
– Not comic related, but you guyyyyssss, everyone is coming back for the Ryan Hansen/Dick Casablancas centric “Veronica Mars” spin-off web series! Yay!!!!!
