Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Remember that period of time when Captain America: Civil War and Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice were going to be released on the same day? Well, those of you who were disappointed that all the flame wars were avoided by the changing of release dates might be interested to hear the (unconfirmed) rumour that Daredevil Season 2 may be releasing on March 25th, the same day as Batman V. Superman. If that’s the case, there’s only one rivalry between a brooding vigilante of the night stalking a hero in red… and it ain’t Batman and Superman.
– Michael Bay has confirmed he’s returning to direct Transformers 5 because life is suffering.
– Toho’s next Godzilla film is being directed by Hideaki Anno, director of Neon Genesis Evangelion. This is what Godzilla’s going to look like in it. You’re welcome.
– In actual comic news, Marvel is trying out a variant cover scheme which would be attached to the first issue of the second story arc of select series and would recap the events of the first arc. Presumably this is just a way of getting the recap text on the front cover of the comic? What do you think of this?
– Mark Hamill has tweeted a design of the character he’ll be voicing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the cartoon, not the film) and it looks pretty cool. Maybe I should watch that show?
– Finally, there are a lot of cool films coming out in 2016, but what’s the most anticipated? According to this poll, the most anticipated film is actually Star Wars Rogue One. Guess that Force Awakens hype is rolling into 2016. But what about you? What’s your most anticipated film of 2016?
