The Rundown: Baltazar and Franco Team for “Itty Bitty Mask”, Read “The Bunker” #1 for Free, and more

Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– This is pretty rad: the Eisner winning duo of Art Baltazar and Franco are reteaming for “Itty Bitty Mask” at Dark Horse Comics. The pairing of those two and Dark Horse has been such a natural fit, and I hope a whole new generation gets introduced to the Mask because of this (who is a lot more than a character Jim Carrey once played).

– Want to read the much loved “The Bunker” #1 from Josh Fialkov and Joe Infurnari, but you’ve been on the fence about committing to the cost of a new series? Read it for free now at Boing Boing, and follow that up by ordering the first collection that is coming soon!

– Did you buy “The Wrenchies” by Farel Dalrymple yet? You should be getting on that, as Dalrymple is one of the absolute best creators in comics. If you do, or if you just want to read a sweet free comic short, Tor.com has a short story called “Remainder” written and drawn by Dalrymple set in that world.

– Don’t worry everyone, instead of making better comics, DC’s doing another gimmick cover month with Lego cover month! Yay! I definitely prefer that to really good comics!

– You guys, a trusted source revealed all of the untitled upcoming comic film titles, and I am pretty sure it’s the most mind blowing thing I’ve ever seen.

– With this costume, we can all be Groot.

– What if Wes Anderson was involved with the X-Men?

– Lastly, get to feeling better Rich. Also, please comic industry, load up the next few days with crazy news will you?
