Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– The same day that Gotham debuted, two new comics-based television series added new cast members. First up, Agent Carter has landed Boardwalk Empire‘s very own Eli Thompson, aka Shea Whigham, in the role of S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Roger Dooley, a one-off character created by John Byrne. We can only presume that he will have a larger role than his comic counterpart.
– Meanwhile, over at the barren wasteland that is the PlayStation Network, three new Powers castmembers have been named as well: Zora will be played by Logan Browning (Bratz), Triphammer by Andrew Sensenig (Upstream Color), and Detective Kutter by Justice Leak (Insurgent). None of these actors are particularly known to me, so I am somewhat ambivalent over the casting choices.
– Moon director Duncan Jones has told Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg that he would “eat his own arm off” to direct some Preacher episodes. AMC, make this happen!
– Is Silk, the “new” Spider-Woman, going to get her own series? Rich Johnston thinks so!
– One of the most memorable participants in “Final Crisis” and, presumably, “The Multiversity,” is Captain Carrot. Newsarama caught up with co-creator Scott Shaw to discuss the character’s history. It is incredible to think that, at one point, funny animal books were an essential part of the comics world. How times have changed, eh?
– And, finally, I have spilled a lot of digital ink ripping on Scott Lobdell, but this is awesome and classy. Good for you, Scott.
