Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Yesterday we shared comics Brazilian creators Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon made about the protests in Sao Paulo, and since then, Rafael Albuquerque and Rafael Grampa, two other great artists from Brazil, shared their own. Well worth a look, both for those interested in the subject and for those who just like good art. Note: they are in Portuguese.

– “Bitter Orange,” Hope Larson’s debut short film, is up for your viewing pleasure at her site. Starring Brie Larson and James Urbaniak, this film had assists at some point in the project from people like Becky Cloonan, Dustin Harbin and Jen Wang, and is definitely worth a view.

Apparently Christopher Nolan opposed Zack Snyder and David Goyer’s ending to “Man of Steel.” Very interesting.

– So Rob Liefeld had some things to say about Image United at Las Vegas Comic Con, including that it was the “best worst idea that ever existed.” I’m not sure if the “best” part really ever factored in, but it was certainly an audacious attempt at doing something unique and potentially interesting. Sadly, it ended up being a punchline.

– Natalie Nourigat made “Man of Steel” reaction comics, as she does, and as per usual they are very entertaining. Check them out!
