Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Newsarama talks with Sean Murphy about the experience of working with Christopher Nolan on the “Interstellar” short story they did together for Wired Magazine, and it’s a really fun little interview with awesome insights from Murphy. Recommended.
– Why didn’t Brenden Fletcher, Cameron Stewart and Babs Tarr’s “Batgirl” relaunch with a new number one? It’s a fair question, and at Thought Bubble, it was answered. Well, no it wasn’t (the title of the article will want you to think that, but it wasn’t), but it was revealed that the creative team did fight for a relaunch but were denied, and that the collections of their work will start with Volume One. Because that makes sense.
– Random congrats: our guy Frank Barbiere is the new solo writer of “Avengers World” starting in February with issue #17 after a bit as the co-writer with Nick Spencer. Congrats Frank!
– Bruce Wayne’s parents have been killed so many times in movies and TV shows, but what was the best? I’ve actually thought a lot recently about how many times they’ve been killed (WE GET IT! HIS PARENTS ARE DEAD!), but Jason Concepcion’s final answer as to what’s the best one is the only real option.
– After a long time being vacant after Alex Segura left for Archie, Michael Shelling has been hired at DC as their Director of Publicity for Publishing. Shelling previously worked in a similar capacity at various video game companies. Congrats to Shelling on the new gig!
