Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– “The Multiversity: Thunderworld” arrives on Wednesday, and Nathan Fairbairn put a preview up on his Tumblr and it looks glorious. Fairbairn, Grant Morrison and Cameron Stewart telling a Captain Marvel story that is for all-ages? Oh my stars and garters.
– I’m so sorry I’m linking to a Newsarama gallery article, but the DC movie variants (of course there are DC movie variants) are pretty hilarious and worth a look, even though it seems like a huge miss to give Harry Potter to “Batman & Robin” and not “Gotham Academy”.
– There was a wee bit of a controversy the past few days about the apparent transphobic nature of “Batgirl” #37, and Brenden Fletcher, Cameron Stewart and Babs Tarr handled it perfectly, releasing a pitch perfect apology and a promise to do better. Good on them.
– Even though the property disgusts me (it has since I was a kid), it is cool that Peter Bagge and Dean Haspiel are going to work on a one-shot comic for Garbage Pail Kids called, of course, “Garbage Pail Kids Comic Book Puketacular” #1. First off, gross. Second off, neat.
– On the Kickstarter front, Darryl Holiday and E.N. Rodriguez have put together a great literal comics journalism project in which they explore the stories from Kedzie Avenue in Chicago in comic form. It looks really fantastic, and they could use your help as they enter their final week. Back it!
