– Bryan Singer’s Instagram just revealed another detail about the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. The film will feature Caliban, a Morlock with the ability to track other mutants. This will be the second film to feature the Morlock, following his silver screen debut opposite Helen Mirren in The Tempest.
– This video from Toronto claims to be footage of the Batmobile chasing a stylish Jokermobile in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. We like to think Toronto’s version of SWAT chasing ex-mayor Rob Ford who’s on another one of his benders.
– Jim Shooter, Mike Zeck, and John Beatty of the original “Secret Wars” miniseries will be making several convention appearances together this year. For dates, check out the press release on Newsarama. Though not advertised, Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic will assumedly be at each of these panels, making D-Generation X crotch chops at everyone from the back.
– CBR reports that statue producer XM Studios has been ordered to cease production on all products related to the Fantastic Four and X-Men. Though their incredible Sentinel diorama and Cable figure will not be released, a life-sized nude Mickey Mouse model has reportedly been commissioned.
– “Hawkguy” artist David Aja shared some cover sketches from when he was meant to work on “Suicide Squad” during the 2011 relaunch. The covers are worth a look, especially for Aja’s alternative design for New 52 Harley Quinn as a pizza loving dog.
– Open your wallets as fast as you can cowboy, because “The Sixth Gun” is coming to Kickstarter as an RPG. For those of you not in the know, “The Sixth Gun” is Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt’s frankly insane the on the Wild West. More details can be found on the Kickstarter page. Basically, it’s kind of like this video but more violent.
– Speaking of Kickstarter, The Adversary is a short story about a warrior in a foreboding tower with an imposing Dark Souls aura throughout. Backing this project can lead to a ton of cool original art from the talented Tony Gregori. Plus, the project involves another short story about time traveling gorillas. You’re going to want to see this.
– After Mad Max: Fury Road made him a household name again, George Miller’s aborted vision for the Justice League will receive its own documentary. George Miller’s Justice League Mortal will focus on the film that was cancelled at the last minute when Warner Brothers told Miller he couldn’t have the Justice League’s male roster shut up and listen to a one-armed Wonder Woman on a murdertruck for two hours.
