– Netflix has signed an exclusive agreement with Warner Bros. to stream the upcoming “Gotham” show for a reported $1.75 million an episode. As Deadline says, it’s an unprecedented deal, and it’s a bit of a mind bender considering the show hasn’t even been released yet. But apparently they have a lot of faith that it will be a hit, and I’m sure they can verify its quality. So…neat? Finally Marvel and DC have found a point in the middle to bond over!
– In a piece at Bleeding Cool, Rich explores why Marvel isn’t publishing any new “Big Robot 6” comics with the film coming soon, and the answer? Seems to be that as part of Disney Animation releasing it, Disney also gets to publish any tie-in books. Explains some of Axel Alonso’s less than exemplary answers about it.
– For those looking to see more humans in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2”, James Gunn has bad news for you: it’s not going to happen to keep the focus on Peter Quill.
– Speaking of Rich, he brings up a very good point that Marvel is apparently pushing the reboot idea, and in my mind, it probably means it isn’t happening. Who the hell knows, though. Well, I guess we will in a few months.
– This quote from Gene Luen Yang about diversity in stories (inside and outside of comics) is inspiring, and I hope writers and artists read it and think about that when they work on their next projects.
– If you didn’t know, Patric Reynolds is a tremendous beast, as proven in this preview for “Alien: Fire & Stone” #1.
– Oh hey, the cover to MC fave Dungeon Fun’s book three and its release date have been revealed, and…you know, it looks like a lot of fun. Colin Bell and Neil Slorance have a winner on their hands.
