Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– The Private Eye #6 is coming soon, but if you haven’t read it yet, the Panel Syndicate team is selling the book – still at pay whatever price you’d like – in collection form, compiling the first five issues and the behind the scenes book into one big package. If you haven’t read it yet, I compel you to get on this right now!
– Adrian Pasdar, aka Nathan Petrelli, is joining Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. for at least one episode as Major Glenn Talbot, a man whose distaste for the Incredible Hulk is as great as Hulk’s own furious rage towards puny Banner and well-fitting clothing. Which is neat I guess? Worth clicking that link, if only to see how intense Pasdar looks when you add military garb and a ‘stache to him.
– Two of our favorites, Kelly Sue DeConnick and Matt Fraction, have opened up a mailing list so you can keep up with all the latest hotness from them, from con appearances to announcements, and even potentially a secret handshake for members of said list? Sign up! Good comics! Get on that!
– These convention penalty cards from Oni Press are the best. Print them out and hand them to people that act a fool at the next con you go to, especially if it’s me at Emerald City as I’ll most likely be said fool.
– Been following the Inkstuds Kickstarter? They added a number of great guests to the interview series, led by Mr. Scott Pilgrim himself, Bryan Lee O’Malley, and Love & Rockets cartoonist Jaime Hernandez.
– So I guess Steve Ditko has a Kickstarter for a new comic called #9 Teen? It has very little information, so one hand Steve Ditko, on the other hand…what?
