Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.
– Brian K. Vaughan talked with CBR about Saga and about his digitally distributed series with artist Marcos Martin, The Private Eye. It’s a good, long interview (with pretty brief answers overall) that talks about a range of subjects, but the most interesting thing to me was BKV’s perspective on digital comics and their sales. His view? Digital will outsell their print editions sooner rather than later. It’s a recommended read.
– Jim McLauchlin, the grand poobah of the Hero Initiative, takes a look at the bleakness and non-livability of the DC universe cities vs. the Marvel ones. It’s an interesting perspective on the movies, and, as he said, not a review. It is interesting analysis however.
– As someone who recently sold his first comics ever (how could I pass up selling the first two issues of Peter Panzerfaust for $150?), Louis Falcetti’s article at Bleeding Cool is certainly interesting, providing perspective on what sells, what doesn’t and how ridiculous some people act when it comes to selling and purchasing.
