Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Graeme McMillan shares a side-by-side comparison of the original colors on “Miracleman” vs. the colors on the new print editions, and while I understand why many people are upset about this, I have to admit I like the new colors more. They just work better, and given some of the things James Robinson had to say on Twitter yesterday – the original colors weren’t even the ones the creators wanted – I don’t even think it’s that big of a deal. Either way, looking good Miracleman. Looking good.

– DC canceled…well, everything that Frank Miller had to do with “Detective Comics” #27. He was originally set to do a 2-page spread which became a variant cover which became…nothing. He’s doing nothing now. DC is weird.

– Apparently Brian Michael Bendis’ “Fire” is being adapted into a film with Zac Efron set to star. I’ve never read “Fire”, but I’m going to be totally honest, Zac Efron? He ain’t bad. Looking forward to seeing what he can do with some Bendis dialogue.

– AV Club shares their top 20 list of mainstream and superhero comics, and it’s a pretty good list that is a bit different generally than others we’ve seen. I like the inclusion of “Nowhere Men” and “Superior Foes of Spider-Man”, for two, and I have to wonder if we’re going to see more from AV Club given that they’ve titled the list “the best mainstream and superhero comics”. You have to imagine they’ll be doing a non-mainstream list too.

– Hey look! An extended preview of “A Boy and A Girl” from Jamie S. Rich and Natalie Nourigat! Take a look, and buy it when it comes out very soon, because it’s going to be the bee’s knees!

– Writer Will Pfeiffer is returning to DC, this time taking over “Red Hood and the Outlaws” with issue #29.

– I missed this before, but this “Deadly Class” variant by Farel Dalrymple is spectacular.

– Locust Moon shared a page from the upcoming Winsor McCay flavored “Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream”, and with this one being from the brilliant David Petersen, you’ll want to take a look at it, because it is freaking awesome.

– Sam Hiti is doing little one page comics on Twitter each week, and this first one is pretty damn great.
