Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– We now know what Wonder Woman’s origin in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be. She will be the daughter of Zeus, like she is in the New 52.
– Bleeding Cool shares an excerpt from Mad Magazine from tomorrow’s DC comics that is for the Harley Quinn Annual that’s scented like Marijuana, and I find it hard to disagree with the retailer Johnston quotes in the piece who sees this whole thing as a massive mistake. It’s stunning that the notoriously straight laced DC supports the idea, but I’ve long stopped trying to figure out why they do what they do. Weird stuff.
– To help prep people for the Daredevil Netflix show, Steve Morris talks with comic writer and Daredevil academic Ryan K. Lindsay. It’s a fun interview and well worth a read.
– “Can you really argue that Batman is good for Gotham?” noted writer John Green wonders.
– Do you like Mike Mignola? Well maybe you should check out some prose novels he did with people like Tom Sniegoski about some of his most famous characters like Hellboy and Lobster Johnson. FOR FREE.
