Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.
– Over at AV Club, they have an exclusive preview of “Moon Knight” #6 from Warren Ellis, Declan Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire, and it looks like this final issue of their run is bringing the whole thing full circle. Looking forward to reading it.
– Following up on a previous story, Chuck Rozanski, due to the outpouring of positive response on him bowing out of future San Diego Comic Con’s for the first time ever, has decided to return next year after all.
– Everyone knows Chip Zdarsky for his jokes, but you know, that guy’s a pretty good designer too. This variant cover he shared for Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips’ upcoming new series “The Fade Out” is pretty much the bee’s knees.
– Steve Morris looks at whether or not it was a good year for San Diego Comic Con, and honestly, I like his perspective best: it was kind of a bit of both, but it exists mostly as the finale to the comics year. Maybe that’s what it should be. Instead of a fiscal year or a calendar year, we have a comic year that runs August 1 to July 31, closing with SDCC? Why the hell not.
– AHHHH!!! Mickey from “Doctor Who” (aka actor Noel Clarke) is writing and releasing a comic from Titan Books called “The Troop” with J. Cassara. MICKEY!
– Brandon Ivan is the new Bill Benis.
