Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
Frank Miller has told Newsarama that he will be writing a fourth “Dark Knight Returns” series after “DK3: The Master Race”, which he is co-writing with Brian Azzarello. There’s no official word on what this new chapter would be called but rumored titles include “Triumph of the Will”, “Birth of a Bat-Nation” and “Holy Terror.”
Latino Review has a “HOT” rumor. Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell are both possible choices to play John Constantine in the still-happening-without-Guillermo-del-Toro Justice League Dark film, though whoever doesn’t get to play the blonde detective might play Jason Blood/Etrigan. Also, the report has a mention of the studio being on board with Ron Perlman as Swamp Thing which is something I would entirely forgive Warner Bros forgetting Matt Ryan exists to see.
– You can buy Christopher Reeve’s Superman Suit that he wore when filming the 1978 movie you might have heard of. There are no bids at the time of this writing, but the minimum will start at 50,000$. I wish I had that type of money so I could buy the suit and never take it off to the point that it fuses with my skin.
– The Hollywood Reporter is hollywood reporting that Johnny Knoxville is developing the Image Comics series “Hawaiian Dick” from B. Clay Moore and Steve Griffin into a series for NBC. In my deepest heart, I really wish that Knoxville just looked at the title and said yes without reading a single page. That’s not to say “Hawaiian Dick” is a bad comic, I just have a very idealized version of the Knox in my head.
