Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at either david@multiversitycomics.com or brian@multiversitycomics.com.

– Speaking of awesome covers, Declan Shalvey and Jordie Bellaire revealed their variant cover to “Moon Knight” #1, and damn if that thing isn’t completely gorgeous. I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like the two of them are going to go next level on that book, which is saying something given the quality of work we’re used to from them.
– Congrats to the totally awesome Mahmud Asrar on going exclusive with Marvel, as he followed the reveal that he’s the artist on the relaunch of “Wolverine and the X-Men” with that major news. Yay Mahmud!
– Continuing from yesterday, AV Club shares their top 10 graphic novels and “art comics” of 2013 (I have no idea what “art comics” really means), and it’s another quality list. I especially appreciate the high rankings of “Boxers & Saints” by Gene Luen Yang, which is my favorite graphic novel(s) of the year. Read that!
– Apparently Nate Simpson is nearly done with “Nonplayer” #2 and is working on a webcomic. Honestly, I’d rather see him work on one or the other, but given how freaking spectacular the first issue of “Nonplayer” is one, I’d welcome any new comics from him because his work is the hotness. More Simpson, please!
– Duncan Fegredo shared a page from “Hellboy: The Midnight Circus” (our top graphic novel of the year) without colors, just ink and wash, and it’s a beauty. Wowza.
– This “Archer” Season Five teaser is spectacular. Krieger in the water wearing all of his clothes doesn’t make a lot of sense, but he is actively in a relationship with a anime hologram, so, you know, awesome.
